I didn’t know there was a name for stacks of stones—until I saw one.
The Cairn series emerges from that moment of recognition: a language for time, gesture, and relationship. I cast silver and bronze rings, each faceted like a precious stone. As they accumulate on the table, in the hand, on the body, they compel new movements: a weight shifting between fingers, a circle slipping over skin, a pause in conversation, a body framed. What if a cairn could make visible the invisible circulation within us, around us? It is a stack to wear. It is also a stack to share—to witness how small forms mark durations and how each added ring memorializes a body’s movement.
