They say, “Make what you know.” So I went into my closet. Pulled out a white shirt—an Alexander McQueen button-down. Something I’d worn, something I loved. I took it to my tailor and said, Make me a teddy bear shirt. Use this for the material. This project is about translation: from garment to gesture, from fashion to form, from big me to little me, from something valuable to something priceless. A shift of inner strength and compassion made outward. Tenderness, tailored.
